Lake, relax, sports, nature: an awesome beach which was awarded, in 2010 , the 5 sails ( maximum merit) of the Guida Blu of the legambiente ( environment association) and TCI ( Italian Touring Club)
The village of Molveno is reflected in the waters of its lake. The beautiful beach and the grassy, well equipped shore is the ideal place to chill out or enjoy one of the many sports on offer. In 2010 it was credited as one of the best Italian beaches along with 13 other localities ( 9 sea side resorts and 5 lake resorts).
Lake Molveno has crystal clear waters and is the second largest of all the lakes in the Trentino region. The village is the ideal starting point for a host of excursions to the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. A bucket lift, from the village centre, leads directly to the Pradel Plateau ( 1400 metres) , from where numerous paths and equipped trails radiate out, such as the classic Sentiero delle Bocchette to name but one.
Molveno is also the ideal place for sports lovers,: tennis, Olympic swimming pool, archery, bowling, mountain biking, para-gliding, roller skating, mini golf, volley ball, sailing, windsurfing, fishing, practice climbing wall. The Forest Park adventure trails are a must for all the family, but for those who just want to chill out and relax, there’s peaceful boating, long easy walks along the lake shore and through the green surrounding woods, places of historical interest to see such as the gothic church of St. Vigilio and the ancient Taialacqua water saw mill, ( 1500) recently restored and still functioning.
