Moena is located in an alluvial basin surrounded by some of the most evocative Dolomitic mountains such as Latimar, Valaccia and the green slopes of the Costalunga pass. It ìs the largest village in the Val di Fassa and is notoriously known as the Fairy Godmother of the Dolomites to better suggest its charm and ancient fascination that links it to fairy-tales. The village is very spruce and tidy and its buildings are all very charming and elegant. Moena is famous for its Ladina culinary tradition and holds various food events such as “ Sapori d’Autunno” – “ Autumn Flavours” in September, organized by 4 well known local restaurants. The star of most of the recipes is Puzzone di Moena, the king of all cheeses and a long time member of  Slow Food Presidium.
In Summer, Moena is the ideal place for walking, hiking and mountain biking. Bikers from all over the world come here to take part in the Rampalonga, the most important bike marathon in Italy ( 4500 participants).
